2) Oxford Phonics World 4, Pages 44-47: 

Pages 44-45: Learned about the "th" word blend and words that contain it, especially "this" and "that". We went over examples of "this" (something is clost) and "that" (something is far away) and circled the words and their photos of words with the "th" word blend. We also selected the correct "this" or "that" sentence that is depicted in a photo.

Pages 46-47: We learned more words that contain the "th" word blend and matched the pictures to their correct word. We also combined parts of words to make one or two words from them and wrote down the word(s).

Class Period 4

1) My View Workbook 1.2, pages 150-152, 155-156, 159

Page 150: matching words with the long o sounds (spelled oa, ow, oe). 

Page 151: completing a word by looking at a picture and using one of the consonant blends and trigraphs "spr", "spl", "str", and "thr" in the beginning of the word.

Page 152: fill-in-the-blank using a word bank of five different vocabulary words.

Page 155: completing words from a word bank by using "oa", "ow", or "oe".

Page 159: Multiple choice questions using vocabulary words as answers.

2) I handed out the Week 12 Practice Test. We did not do the spelling for Section A in class.
