Hello Everyone,

Class Period 4:

1) MyView 1.2 Workbook, pages 113 and 114.

Page 113: We chose the correct vocabulary word for fill-in-the-blank.

Page 114: We chose the correct comparative vocabulary word for fill-in-the-blank and we found the words that have the -dge ending.

2) I talked more about the Personal Narrative and it's structure and contents. Once again, an example can be found here:

https://www.cbsd.org/cms/lib/PA01916442/Centricity/Domain/831/Personal%20Narrative%20Sample.pdf

I also wrote my own narrative on the board. It went something like this:

"My Disneyland Adventure

When I was five years old, I went to Disneyland with my family. My mom, my dad, my brother, my sister, and I took a road trip to California to visit the park. I ate delicious ice-cream and rode many rides there. I even got to meet Mickey Mouse. I hope I get to go again next year. It was so much fun."

I told the students they need to write 5 sentences and use one page in their Bubble Books to write it. I will tear the page out later to check it and put it in their folders. Some students did not have their Bubble Books in class, so I gave them a blank A4 paper to write on.

Students need to write THEIR OWN personal narrative, so I don't want their stories to copy or be like mine. They should just write about a special time in their lives. Let them make writing mistakes. I will correct them later.

3) We spent some time writing the personal narratives. I want the students to complete the rest for homework and turn in on Monday.

Homework:

1) Write 5 sentences, 2 words of vocabulary in each sentence.

2) Personal Narrative. (Write 5 sentences in Bubble Book about one interesting time in student's life. Must be student's own story.)

3) Sign today's graded Unit exam.

4) OkSensay weekly assignment
