Class Period 6:

MyView 1.4 pages 112-115:

Pages 112-114: We learned about the comparative endings -er and -est. The ending -er is used when comparing the adjectives of two things or animals/people, and the ending -est is used when comparing the adjectives of three or more things or animals/people.

Here is a short video going over the -est and -er adjectives and their use: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fTNS-wmKh30

Pages 115-116: We discussed the -dge word ending and sound and then used story vocabulary to complete fill-in-the-blank sentences.

Class Period 7:

We worked on Skill Sharpeners Math 2 pages 12-14. Page 12 incorporated the -er and -est endings that we learned today from MyView 1.4. Student had to think about how to use the information in the table, and addition and subtraction, to complete the answers. Page 13 was an addition and subtraction activity. Page 14 was a connect-the dots-page.

Homework:

1) Write vocabulary words #1-8 x4.

2) Parents, if you have not done so yet, please remember to sign the student's test after the student makes corrections (except for the blank answers in the listening and writing section). Please also make sure they correct their homework worksheet from last Thursday and return it this Wednesday.

3) I haven't checked Friday's homework yet, so students can just use their bubble books and add today's homework to it.
