Hello Everyone,

Here is what we covered today:

Class Period 1:

Phonics World 4, pages 28-31

Pages 28-29: Learned about the st sound in the beginning and ending of words:

st word beginning examples: stop, stamp, stay, stand

st word ending examples: test, fast, chest, west

We did some listening, circling, and identifying correct sentences.

Pages 30: Put the words into the correct sm, sn, st, sp, sw sound categories.


Class Period 2:

1) Continued and finished Phonics World 4, page 31: Read the four short paragraphs and identified the words from the paragraphs in the related pictures.

2) Finished vocabulary review from the PPTs:

Homework:

1) Study! Study! Study for the Written Exam, which is next Tuesday, October 29. I still have the practice test worksheets, but here is the pdf with the answers as promised. You can print it out and share it with the kids:

We learned about words that had the same diphthongs and circled them after viewing the matching image.
